Enrollment is open for Charter Membership!

The Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center will be Allen's largest and most unique recreation center. Be among the first to say ‘yes!’ to join as a Charter Member and enjoy the exclusive membership benefits.

Benefits of Charter Membership include:

  • FREE T-shirt for the individuals on the membership
  • Waived $75 enrollment fee
  • A coupon book with special offers for programs, passes and more
  • Early access to the Recreation Center prior to the Grand Opening

Charter Members will have the option to pay for the first month of membership up-front, at the time of enrollment, or on the Grand Opening Day.

Allen Parks and Recreation provides two easy ways to enroll:

  1. Visit us in-person at the Terrell Recreation Membership booth located at The Edge (201 St Mary Drive, Allen, TX 75002). Our Team will also be available by phone during booth hours at 972.678.5100.

    The current membership booth schedule is:
    • Monday - Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
    • Saturdays from 1 to 5 p.m.
    • Closed Sundays
  2. Enroll online anytime. Our Membership team will email you within several business days to provide steps to come by The Edge to pick up your Terrell Recreation Center swag.

ATTENTION: Note the following when enrolling online.

Before adding a membership to your cart on ActiveNet, select “Yes, I want to automatically renew this membership when it expires” in the Enrollment Details section. This will ensure you successfully enroll in a monthly membership at Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center.

Check the “Use Payment Plan” box at check-out for auto draft to begin on Grand Opening Day (see screenshot).

If this box is not checked, you will be charged for your first month of membership at the time of enrollment; your monthly auto draft will begin the second month of facility operations.

More information on membership

  • Enrollment fee: A one-time enrollment fee for memberships ($75 for residents and non-residents). Enrollment fee will be waived for active military personnel and veterans.
  • Ford Pool Membership is included with monthly membership to STRC.
  • For an additional $10 per month: Upgrade any STRC membership to include access to Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center.

*Resident rates are for those who own a home, business or are employed by a business that pays property taxes to the City of Allen. Proof of residency, ownership or employment in Allen is required.

Construction Progress

The wait is almost over! The Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center (STRC) will host fitness and recreational activities for all ages. You’ll find this highly anticipated 149,000-square-foot community center at 1680 W. Exchange Parkway, between Ridgeview Drive and Alma. Check out the construction progress pictured below!

Allen residents prioritized key features of the fitness center through public meetings, workshops and online surveys. Soon, residents and locals will enjoy the impressive facility amenities determined by the collective input.
