Allen Fire Department invites Allen ISD students to help spread awareness about fire prevention. Through Sept. 22, students in kindergarten through 6th grade can join our poster contest using this year’s Fire Prevention theme: Cooking safety start with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention.
Submit all entries to school offices by Friday, Sept. 22. Some entries will be on display at Allen Public Library during Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 8-14!

Contest guidelines
- Size of poster limited to 8.5 inches x 11 inches only
- Any medium can be used including markers, paint, cut-outs, etc.
- Must focus on the importance of this year's Fire Prevention Week theme: Cooking safety starts with you. Pay attention to fire prevention
- Must be original artwork completed by the student
- Please write student’s first and last name, name of school and grade level neatly on the back of each entry
- Limit one entry per student
Additional disclaimers
- Winners receive an Allen Fire Department goodie bag and trophy.
- All entries must contain full information and conform to size.
- Only individual work is judged (no group entries)
- Entries are judged based on message, creativity, originality and visual impact.
